When we were invited to collaborate on Harmony Cosmetic Center, we saw an opportunity to create something deeply meaningful: a moss wall installation that connects clients to nature while enhancing the wellness philosophy of the space.
Harmony Cosmetic Center was already envisioned as a serene destination for beauty and self-care.
Our role at MBD Biophilic Design LLC was to complement that vision by adding living texture and organic warmth — using the timeless beauty of preserved moss.

Our Approach: Art That Breathes With the Space
Every space has its own rhythm, light, and flow.
Before designing the moss walls, our team studied the interior finishes, lighting direction, and client pathways to ensure our work would complement, not compete with the architecture.
We custom-designed moss wall panels that naturally align with Harmony’s soft neutral tones and minimalist aesthetic, emphasizing organic movement and visual balance.
Our intention was to create the feeling of being close to nature without overwhelming the calm identity of the center.

The Artistry Behind Our Moss Walls
Our moss installations for Harmony feature a curated blend of ball moss, and flat moss, arranged to form flowing landscapes inspired by natural growth patterns.
Each piece was handcrafted in our studio, ensuring organic variation and tactile richness.
The color palette from deep forest greens to soft sage and olive was selected to harmonize with the center’s existing finishes, such as natural wood accents, warm lighting, and clean surfaces.
This created a visual dialogue between design and nature, where the moss feels like it has always belonged in the space.
Integration & Installation Process
Our installation process was carefully planned to ensure precision, cleanliness, and respect for the operating environment of a cosmetic center.
1. Collaboration and Site EvaluationWe worked closely with the design and management team to identify the best wall placements, areas with consistent temperature, no direct sunlight, and natural foot traffic visibility.
2. Modular FabricationEach moss wall was pre-built in modular sections at our studio, allowing seamless integration on-site.
This method guarantees consistent texture, controlled color gradients, and minimal disruption during installation.
Panels were installed using eco-safe adhesives and mounting systems, ensuring long-term durability.
Edges and transitions were hand-finished for a sculptural, organic appearance blending art with architecture.

Our preserved moss walls require no watering, sunlight, or soil, making them ideal for professional environments where cleanliness and low maintenance are essential.
